What to Expect From This Provence Photo Tour
This tour moves through coastal cities, historic towns, and the countryside of Provence, giving you a wide range of subjects without long, exhausting travel days. You photograph harbours, medieval streets, hilltop villages, and lavender landscapes while working with changing light across different settings.
You travel in a small group of just 4–6 guests. This keeps the experience personal and makes it easier to move through villages, markets, and narrow streets with your camera. Our photography leader will stay with you throughout the trip, offering guidance on timing, framing, and working with the distinctive light of southern France.
Days are planned around the best moments to shoot. Early mornings and late afternoons focus on light that brings out colour and texture across stone buildings, lavender fields, and coastal scenes. Midday breaks allow time to rest, review images, or explore towns at a relaxed pace.
Expect a busy but rewarding schedule. Travel takes place by car or minibus, with moderate elevation changes and plenty of walking through historic streets and countryside viewpoints. The tour welcomes photographers of all levels, and all cameras, including camera phones, are welcome. Non-photographers can also join and enjoy the experience alongside the group.
