Renaissance architecture, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage await you in Tuscany.
Our 7-day Tuscany Photo Tour is a journey into a land where beauty unfolds in every direction, a place where landscapes and hilltop towns feel as though they’ve been painted by the hand of an artist. Rolling hills stretch endlessly, draped in a patchwork of golden wheat fields, verdant vineyards, and silvery olive groves, all beneath a sky that transforms from soft dawn pastels to the deep, glowing hues of sunset.
As we explore Tuscany, the medieval towers of San Gimignano rise dramatically against the horizon, their ancient stone glowing in the warm afternoon light. In Florence, the heart of the Renaissance, every corner reveals a masterpiece, from the intricate façade of Florence Cathedral to the graceful arches of Ponte Vecchio, reflected in the gentle flow of the Arno River.
The winding streets of Siena unfold like a living labyrinth, leading to the grand Piazza del Campo, where light and shadow dance across a scene of timeless elegance. In Lucca, tree-lined boulevards and ancient walls create moments of quiet stillness, perfect for capturing the gentle rhythm of Tuscan life. Pienza opens onto sweeping views of the Val d’Orcia, where the landscape itself feels like a living canvas, while Cortona offers panoramic vistas that stretch endlessly into the distance. In Montepulciano, stately palazzos and winding streets invite you to slow down and immerse yourself in its quiet beauty. From the iconic cypress-lined roads of Val d’Orcia to the hidden corners of ancient villages, each setting reveals a new perspective, an endless invitation to capture Tuscany’s harmony of nature and human artistry.
This journey is designed to guide you to the most photogenic locations, carefully timed for the best light, while helping you develop the ability to visualize a scene before capturing the decisive moment. Our aim is to elevate your awareness and ignite your creativity, so you return home not only with images you’re proud of, but with a deeper understanding of how to shape them. Beyond mastering your camera, you’ll learn how to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary through intention and vision.
Along the way, you’ll gain insight into reading the landscape, working within your environment, and thoughtfully photographing people and culture in a foreign land. Through a blend of individual guidance, group discussions, and shared inspiration, this experience becomes as enriching as it is rewarding. There are few places in the world that invite creativity as effortlessly as Tuscany, and no better setting to let your vision truly unfold.

ITINERARY
TUSCANY PHOTO TOUR – 7 DAYS
Day 1 | Florence
We will meet at our hotel in the heart of Florence in the morning, where our Tuscany Photo Adventure begins. Set in northern Tuscany, Florence is a living gallery of Renaissance art and architecture, offering an extraordinary canvas for photography, especially in the soft atmosphere of early morning and the golden glow of sunset.
We’ll photograph the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, its magnificent dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi rising above the city skyline. From there, we’ll explore the artistic treasures of the Uffizi Gallery and the sculptural beauty of Piazza della Signoria, where history and artistry converge in every frame.
As evening approaches, we will move to the banks of the Arno River, capturing the warm light as it reflects across the water and bathes the city in a soft, luminous glow. Later, we will gather to celebrate the beginning of our journey with a memorable “Welcome Dinner” at one of our favorite Italian restaurants. (D)
Day 2 | Florence
We’ll begin the day with early morning light at Piazzale Michelangelo, where sweeping views stretch across Florence. From this elevated vantage point, the city awakens beneath us; the Arno River winding through its heart, and the iconic Ponte Vecchio glowing softly in the golden hues of dawn.
From there, we’ll step into the lively rhythm of the Sant’Ambrogio Market, one of the city’s most authentic local markets. It’s the perfect setting for breakfast and an immersive introduction to people photography. Here, daily life unfolds in vivid detail; vendors arranging fresh produce, locals exchanging stories, and generations of tradition woven into every interaction. Established in the late 19th century, the market remains a vital part of Florentine life, with its indoor stalls offering meats, cheeses, and seasonal ingredients, while the outdoor vendors bring color and character through flowers, textiles, and everyday goods.
After lunch, we will continue exploring the historic center and surrounding neighborhoods, turning our focus toward street photography, documentary portraits, architecture, and cityscapes, capturing the subtle moments and layered textures that define the spirit of Florence. (B)
Day 3 | Florence - Lucca
Day 4 | San Gimignano - Siena - Montepulciano
On day four, we’ll depart Florence early and journey into the rolling hills of southern Tuscany. Our first stop will be San Gimignano, a twon that is famed for its skyline of ancient towers rising above the countryside. From afar, the town feels almost otherworldly, and up close, its narrow cobblestone streets reveal endless compositions of texture, light, and shadow. We’ll explore key locations like Piazza della Cisterna and Piazza del Duomo, while also turning our lenses outward to the surrounding vineyards and rolling landscapes that define Tuscany’s timeless beauty.
After lunch, we will continue to Siena, often described as more than a destination; a feeling. With origins dating back to 900 B.C. and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Siena captivates with its preserved medieval character and undeniable atmosphere. At the heart of the city lies Piazza del Campo, one of Europe’s most remarkable squares, its shell-shaped design framed by the soaring Torre del Mangia and the historic Palazzo Pubblico. Nearby, the striking Siena Cathedral reveals intricate Gothic details and richly layered interiors, offering a wealth of photographic inspiration. Wandering the streets that radiate from the piazza, we’ll uncover intimate moments of daily life and unique perspectives at every turn.
As the day will come to a close, we’ll make our way to the countryside near Montepulciano, where we will settle into our hotel surrounded by the quiet beauty of rural Tuscany. (B)
Day 5 | Val d’Orcia - Cypress Groves - Montepulciano
We’ll rise early to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Val d’Orcia, where we’ll capture the soft morning light and, if conditions align, the rolling fog that gives southern Tuscany its dreamlike atmosphere. This region is famed for its idyllic scenery, undulating hills, cypress-lined roads, and solitary farmhouses that have become iconic symbols of Tuscany. We’ll photograph the serene Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta, especially striking at sunrise or sunset, when the light gently shapes the surrounding fields. We’ll also explore the historic Horti Leonini and the Romanesque Collegiata di San Quirico, before enjoying lunch in the charming town of San Quirico d’Orcia.
In the late afternoon, we’ll visit Montepulciano, where we’ll wander its narrow, winding streets; perfect for discovering intimate compositions and layered perspectives. We’ll photograph cobblestone alleys lined with stone buildings, artisan shops, and flower-filled balconies, using doorways and arches to frame the surrounding countryside. As the light softens, we’ll capture the interplay of light and shadow that gives these streets their depth and character.
At the heart of the town, we’ll explore Piazza Grande, surrounded by architectural gems like the Palazzo Comunale; reminiscent of Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio, and the Montepulciano Cathedral. We’ll end the day with a memorable dinner in Montepulciano, reflecting on the landscapes and moments we’ve captured. (B)
Day 6 | Piensa - Cortona
We’ll begin our day with more opportunities to capture the serene landscapes of southern Tuscany. A gentle morning stroll leads us into Pienza, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a true gem of Renaissance urban planning. Perched above the sweeping vistas of the Val d’Orcia, Pienza offers breathtaking panoramic views that seem to stretch endlessly across the countryside. We’ll explore architectural highlights like Piazza Pio II and the elegant Pienza Cathedral, while also wandering its narrow streets and intimate corners, such as the romantic Via del Bacio; perfect for capturing Tuscany’s timeless charm.
After lunch, we’ll continue to Cortona, a captivating town set high above the Valdichiana in the province of Arezzo. Enclosed by ancient stone walls dating back to Etruscan and Roman times, Cortona commands a dramatic position nearly 600 meters above sea level. From its elevated vantage points, we’ll take in sweeping views across the valley, with glimpses reaching as far as Lake Trasimeno.
Our afternoon and evening unfold both within and beyond the city walls, as we immerse ourselves in the textures, light, and quiet beauty that define Cortona. As the day draws to a close, we gather for a memorable “Farewell Dinner”, an evening of shared stories, laughter, and reflection on a journey shaped by light, landscape, and creative discovery. (B) (D)
Day 7 | Montepulciano - Florence
After an early morning shoot, we’ll enjoy breakfast followed by a thoughtful review of our images; reflecting on the moments captured and the progress made throughout the journey. We’ll then check out of our hotel in Montepulciano and return to Florence for your onward departure.
From Florence, you may choose to continue your travels by train or depart from the city’s international airport.
We encourage you to extend your stay in Italy or beyond; carrying forward the techniques, perspective, and creative vision you’ve developed during this unforgettable photographic journey. (B)
