Capturing Traditions, Landscapes & Authentic Local Life in Vietnam.
Join us on our 15-day Vietnam Photo Tour and Cultural Adventure for an unforgettable journey designed for photographers who wish to capture the true soul of Vietnam through authentic human connections. Vietnam is a country where tradition remains deeply woven into everyday life, and where the past and present coexist in remarkable harmony, creating a living canvas of endless photographic possibilities. Throughout this adventure, we’ll venture beyond the typical tourist path and into the heart of Vietnam’s villages, markets, and hidden landscapes, documenting the character, culture, and stories of the people who have preserved their way of life for generations. Along the way, we’ll discover a country rich in history, resilience, and beauty, while creating meaningful images that reflect the spirit of Vietnam itself.
This journey is about more than photography—it is about storytelling, connection, and witnessing life unfold in its most authentic form. The people of Vietnam bring their heritage to life each day, handcrafting pottery, weaving intricate textiles, harvesting salt, and producing rice paper using techniques passed down through generations. Their hands tell stories, their faces reflect a lifetime of experience, and their daily routines present extraordinary opportunities to create images that are both genuine and deeply meaningful.
We’ll begin in the Mekong Delta, where the waterways shape every aspect of life. Here, we’ll photograph fishermen in Xiep casting their nets at dawn as golden light dances across the river. From there, our journey will take us through Tay Ninh and Vi Thanh, where we’ll document women preparing rice powder, artisans crafting traditional pottery in Vinh Long, and vibrant local markets overflowing with color, character, and life.
As our adventure continues, we’ll arrive at the red and white sand dunes of Mui Ne, where graceful figures dressed in traditional Ao Dai move across the landscape, their flowing garments catching the evening breeze in scenes filled with elegance and motion. We’ll also visit the Cham villages of Phan Rang, where the ancient arts of weaving and pottery remain woven into daily life. Every encounter offers an opportunity to capture meaningful moments and tell compelling visual stories.
Throughout the tour, we’ll explore the creative possibilities of light, shadow, texture, and human expression. We’ll photograph sunrise over the salt fields of Hon Khoi, capture stunning sunsets above fishing villages and Buddhist temples, and seek out the faces, traditions, and landscapes that make Vietnam such a remarkable destination for photographers. From intimate portraits to sweeping environmental scenes, this journey offers endless opportunities for creativity and inspiration.
This adventure is designed not only to lead you to exceptional photographic locations under the best possible light but also to help you visualize a scene before pressing the shutter. Our goal is to strengthen your awareness, inspire your creativity, and help you return home with images you are proud of while developing skills that will continue to enhance your photography long after the tour ends. Beyond mastering camera settings and techniques, you’ll learn how to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary images through thoughtful composition and creative vision.
Along the way, you’ll gain valuable insight into reading landscapes, working within your environment, photographing local people respectfully, and navigating the unique cultural considerations of working in a foreign country. Through individual guidance, group discussions, shared experiences, and plenty of laughter, we’ll create an environment that is both educational and inspiring. Few places offer such a rich combination of culture, craftsmanship, tradition, and visual beauty as Vietnam, making it the perfect destination to elevate your photography and unleash your creativity.

ITINERARY
VIETNAM PHOTO TOUR – 15 DAYS
Day 1 | Ho Chi Minh
We’ll meet at our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, where our tour officially begins at noon. After settling in, we’ll head out for a leisurely afternoon walk through the city, allowing us to become acquainted with its vibrant streets, dynamic atmosphere, and fascinating blend of old and new. This introductory exploration will provide our first opportunities to observe and photograph everyday life in one of Vietnam’s most energetic cities.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a special “Welcome Dinner” at one of our favorite local restaurants. This will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know our fellow travelers while enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Over dinner, we’ll have informal discussions about photographic goals, preferred subjects, styles, and techniques, helping set the stage for an inspiring, educational, and creatively rewarding adventure in the days ahead. (D)
Day 2 | Ho Chi Minh - Tay Ninh
We’ll depart Ho Chi Minh City and continue our journey into some of Vietnam’s lesser-explored regions, immersing ourselves in the culture, traditions, and daily life that define this fascinating country. This marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure through landscapes and communities that remain largely untouched by mass tourism.
Along the way, we’ll visit and photograph a traditional workshop that produces the bowls used for collecting latex from rubber trees. As one of the world’s leading rubber producers, Vietnam relies heavily on these simple yet essential tools throughout its plantations. Whether crafted from ceramic or plastic, these bowls are designed to endure the demanding conditions of rubber harvesting. Photographing the production process offers a unique glimpse into a specialized craft that has been passed down through generations and remains closely tied to the region’s agricultural heritage.
Following our visit, we’ll continue to Tay Ninh, where we’ll check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening. This will provide an opportunity to rest, review photographs from the day, and prepare for the experiences that await us as our journey through Vietnam continues. (B)
Day 3 | Tay Ninh - Mac Hoa
After breakfast, we’ll head out to photograph workers producing rice powder, an essential ingredient in the making of rice paper, one of the products for which Tay Ninh is well known. This traditional craft has been passed down through generations and relies on a special variety of rice that gives the finished product its distinctive texture and flavor. The process offers fascinating opportunities to document both craftsmanship and daily life.
Next, we’ll continue toward Mac Hoa, stopping along the way to enjoy a local meal. Vietnam is renowned for its vibrant culinary traditions, and as we witness the creation of authentic ingredients, we’ll also have the opportunity to experience them firsthand through dishes prepared by local residents. It’s a wonderful way to deepen our appreciation for the culture and traditions of the region.
In the afternoon, we’ll photograph the process of hedge collection, a visually engaging activity that provides excellent opportunities for creative imagery. The combination of natural textures, changing light, and the rhythm of human labor creates compelling scenes that beautifully illustrate the connection between people and the landscape they depend upon. (B)
Day 4 | Mac Hoa - Vi Thanh
We’ll begin the day early with a visit to a water lily farm, where we’ll photograph women harvesting these delicate flowers. The process creates beautiful patterns across the water’s surface, transforming the landscape into a vibrant tapestry of color and texture. As we search for the most compelling compositions, this unique setting will provide countless opportunities for creative and visually striking images.
After breakfast, we’ll continue to Vinh Long to explore a pottery factory and the famous Red Brick Kingdom, also known as the ceramic village. This region is renowned for its long-standing pottery tradition, where artisans continue to employ techniques passed down through generations. The towering brick kilns and impressive domes constructed from carefully stacked red bricks create an extraordinary visual environment unlike anywhere else in Vietnam. These traditional structures, many of which have been in operation for decades, stand as enduring symbols of the region’s craftsmanship, heritage, and industrious spirit.
Following this immersive cultural experience, we’ll continue our journey to Vi Thanh, where new photographic opportunities and cultural encounters await as we venture deeper into Vietnam’s hidden landscapes and traditions. (B)
Day 5 | Vi Thanh - Trà Vinh
We’ll begin our day with a visit to Vi Thanh Market, a vibrant and authentic center of local life. There is no better way to understand a destination than by exploring its markets, where culture, food, commerce, and daily routines come together in a colorful display of activity. Women wearing traditional nón lá hats, stalls overflowing with fresh produce, and the constant rhythm of buying and selling create a rich visual environment. This will be an excellent opportunity to capture environmental portraits, candid moments, and street photography that reflect the character and traditions of the region.
Next, we’ll travel to Sóc Trăng to photograph the impressive Big Buddha, one of the area’s most significant cultural and spiritual landmarks. We’ll spend time exploring the site and photographing its remarkable details before remaining through sunset, when the warm golden light enhances the atmosphere and beauty of the scene.
After sunset, we’ll continue our journey to Trà Vinh, where we’ll settle in for the evening and prepare for another day of discovery and photography. (B)
Day 6 | Tra Vinh
We’ll leave early in the morning to photograph fishermen at work in Xiep, documenting their skillful techniques and the rhythm of daily life on the water. The soft morning light, combined with the tranquil atmosphere and occasional mist drifting across the river, will create beautiful conditions for evocative and atmospheric images.
After breakfast, we’ll visit an elderly villager who has dedicated his life to the traditional art of mask-making. As a master craftsman, he continues to preserve techniques that have been passed down through generations. Beyond the photographic opportunities, this visit offers a rare chance to hear his stories, learn about his craft, and gain insight into a cultural tradition that is gradually disappearing. Experiences like these are what make this journey so special, allowing us to connect with people and traditions on a deeper level.
Later in the day, we’ll have the remarkable opportunity to photograph Apsara dancers, whose graceful movements and elaborate costumes symbolize beauty, spirituality, and cultural heritage. Set against the backdrop of an ancient temple, these performances create a stunning visual experience where history, artistry, and tradition come together. The elegant poses, intricate details, and timeless setting will provide an unforgettable photographic session and some of the most memorable images of the journey. (B)
Day 7 | Tra Vinh - Ben Tre
After breakfast, we’ll depart Trà Vinh and continue our journey through the Mekong Delta, seeking out more unique locations and rewarding photographic opportunities along the way.
Our first stop will be the sedge grass fields, where local residents harvest and weave this versatile natural fiber using techniques that have been practiced for generations. The long rows of swaying grass create beautiful patterns and textures across the landscape, offering a visually striking setting for photography. Combined with the daily activities of the workers, these scenes provide an ideal opportunity to capture the harmony between traditional craftsmanship and the natural environment.
Next, we’ll visit a Coconut Village, located in one of Vietnam’s most important coconut-producing regions. Here, we’ll observe the journey from harvest to finished product, gaining insight into an industry that plays a significant role in the local economy and way of life. From processing coconuts by hand to creating a variety of coconut-based products, the village offers countless opportunities for storytelling through photography while showcasing the ingenuity and hard work of the local community.
Later in the day, we’ll continue to Bến Tre, where we’ll settle in for the evening. This charming region, known for its lush waterways and coconut groves, will serve as our base as we prepare for another day of exploration and photography. (B)
Day 8 | Ben Tre - Bình Đại - Ba Tri - Ho Chi Minh
We’ll depart for Bình Đại, where we’ll visit a large fan factory and photograph workers as they carry out their daily craft. The scale of production, combined with the repetitive patterns, textures, and intricate details of the manufacturing process, creates a fascinating environment for photography. The factory’s dynamic atmosphere offers countless opportunities to capture both the human element and the artistry behind this traditional industry.
Next, we’ll continue to Ba Tri, where we’ll document women weaving bamboo baskets using techniques that have been passed down through generations. Their dedication to preserving this traditional craft, along with the warmth and character they bring to their work, makes for a rewarding photographic experience. The weaving process itself is both intricate and visually engaging, providing wonderful opportunities to capture the skill, patience, and artistry involved in every basket.
Afterward, we’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City, bringing our journey through the Mekong Delta to a close. Along the way, we’ll reflect on the remarkable people, traditions, and landscapes we’ve encountered throughout this unforgettable adventure.
To celebrate our time together, we’ll conclude the evening with a special Gala Dinner aboard a river cruise. Surrounded by the lights of the city and scenic views along the water, we’ll enjoy great food, share our favorite photographs, and relive the memorable moments that have defined our journey through Vietnam. (B) (D)
Day 9 | Ho chi Minh - Mũi Né
We’ll travel to Mũi Né, a beautiful coastal destination renowned for its dramatic landscapes and unique natural scenery. As we journey toward the coast, the landscape gradually transforms, offering a striking contrast to the lush waterways and villages we’ve explored earlier in the tour.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the famous Red Sand Dunes, where we’ll photograph Vietnamese women dressed in elegant Áo Dài as they walk gracefully across the rolling dunes at sunset. The combination of flowing traditional attire, warm golden light, and the sweeping desert-like landscape creates a visually stunning scene that perfectly blends culture, movement, and natural beauty. This carefully planned session will provide exceptional opportunities for creative compositions and artistic storytelling.
We’ll take our time during this immersive evening shoot, allowing ample opportunity to explore different perspectives and fully appreciate the beauty of the setting as the light changes throughout sunset. After our photography session, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before returning to our accommodations for the evening. (B)
Day 10 | Mũi Né
We’ll begin the day before sunrise with a photography session at the spectacular White Sand Dunes, capturing the first light of day as it gently illuminates the rolling landscape. The soft morning colors and dramatic contours of the dunes create an extraordinary setting for photography. This authentic setting offers excellent opportunities for documentary and street photography as we observe fishermen at work and explore the colorful activity along the waterfront. We’ll also witness the production of fish sauce and the traditional steaming of local cakes, both of which play an important role in Vietnam’s culinary heritage and provide fascinating subjects for storytelling through photography.
After a rewarding day of exploration and image-making, we’ll return to Mũi Né for a relaxed evening. With time to unwind and enjoy the coastal atmosphere, we can reflect on the day’s experiences while preparing for the next stage of our journey. (B)

Upon arriving in Phan Rang, we’ll head to the sand dunes for an evening photography session. As the sun begins to set, we’ll photograph children playing among the golden sands, capturing moments of joy, movement, and spontaneity. The warm evening light, combined with the natural energy of the children and the dramatic landscape, will create a memorable and visually captivating conclusion to the day. (B)
