Capturing Timeless Traditions, Breathtaking Landscapes & Authentic Local Life in Vietnam.

Join our 15-day Vietnam Photo Tour and Cultural adventure, for an unforgettable experience designed for photographers who seek to capture the soul of Vietnam through authentic human connections.Vietnam is a land where tradition weaves seamlessly into daily life, where the past and present exist in perfect harmony, creating a living canvas for photographers. Here we will step beyond the ordinary and into the heart of Vietnam’s villages, markets, and hidden landscapes, capturing the soul of its people and the beauty they have preserved for generations.

This journey is not just about photography, it is about storytelling, about witnessing life unfold in its purest form. The people of Vietnam breathe life into their heritage, carefully handcrafting pottery, weaving delicate fabrics, harvesting salt, and shaping rice paper in the same way their ancestors did centuries ago. Their hands tell stories, their faces reflect generations of wisdom, and their daily work creates stunning photographic opportunities that are both authentic and deeply moving.

We begin in the Mekong Delta, where the rivers dictate the rhythm of life. Imagine capturing fishermen in Xiep casting their nets at dawn, the golden light shimmering on the water. We move through Tay Ninh and Vi Thanh, photographing women preparing rice powder, artisans creating delicate pottery in Vinh Long, and vibrant markets bursting with color and character.

As the tour unfolds, we reach Mui Ne’s red and white sand dunes, where Vietnamese women in traditional Ao Dai walk gracefully across the landscape, their flowing garments catching the evening breeze, a scene of poetry and movement. The experience deepens with a visit to the Cham villages of Phan Rang, where the art of weaving and pottery is alive in every touch. Each encounter, each moment, is a frame waiting to be captured.

This is a photographer’s dream, where we experiment with light, shadow, and texture, perfecting portrait techniques, capturing golden sunrises over salt fields in Hon Khoi, and sunsets that paint the sky over Buddhist temples and fishing villages. From the expressive faces of the people to the breathtaking natural backdrops, Vietnam offers an endless playground for creativity. This is not just a tour, it’s a chance to see, feel, and capture Vietnam’s living heritage.

This adventure is designed not only to guide you to the most photogenic locations carefully planned for the best light but also to aid you in mentally visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. We aim to raise your awareness and spark your creativity so that you not only go home with images to be proud of but also use your newfound skills to improve and expand your photographic technique. Apart from the technical aspect of learning your camera settings and capabilities, you will learn how to turn an ordinary image into an extraordinary image by using your creativity.

In addition, you will learn how to survey the landscape, utilize and approach your environment, photograph people indigenous to the region, and the cultural considerations and challenges of photographing in a foreign country. Our time together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas, and great fun. We cannot think of a better location to express your creativity than in Vietnam.

ITINERARY

VIETNAM 15 DAYS

Day 1 | Ho Chi Minh

We will meet at our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, where our tour officially begins at noon. In the afternoon, we’ll take a leisurely walk around the city to get acquainted with its vibrant streets and local culture.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a special Welcome Dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow guests while savoring authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Over dinner, we’ll also have an informal discussion about photography goals, styles, and techniques, setting the tone for an inspiring and creative journey ahead. (D)

Day 2 | Ho Chi Minh - Tay Ninh

We will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and continue our journey, immersing ourselves in the rich culture and everyday life of Vietnam’s lesser-explored regions. This marks the beginning of an incredible adventure through the country’s hidden gems.

On the way, we will visit and photograph a traditional factory that produces bowls used for collecting latex from rubber trees. Vietnam is one of the world’s leading rubber producers, and these bowls play a crucial role in the industry. Crafted from ceramic or plastic, they are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of rubber plantations. The process of making these bowls has been passed down through generations, reflecting the deep-rooted craftsmanship and agricultural heritage of the region.

After our visit, we will continue to Tay Ninh, where we will check into our hotel and unwind for the evening. (B)

Day 3 | Tay Ninh - Mac Hoa

After breakfast, we will head out to photograph workers producing rice powder, an essential ingredient in making rice paper, for which Tay Ninh is well known. This age-old tradition has been passed down for generations, using a special variety of rice that gives the final product its unique texture and flavor.

Next, we will continue to Mac Hoa, stopping along the way to enjoy a local meal. Vietnam is celebrated for its vibrant cuisine, and as we witness the creation of authentic ingredients, we’ll also have the opportunity to taste them, prepared by the locals themselves.

In the afternoon, we will capture the process of hedge collection, a visually striking scene that offers fantastic opportunities for artistic photography in a natural setting. The interplay of light, textures, and human effort will make for compelling images, showcasing the connection between people and their environment. (B)

Day 4 | Mac Hoa - Vi Thanh

We will start our day early with a visit to a water lily farm, where women will be harvesting these delicate flowers. The process creates mesmerizing patterns on the water, offering a vibrant and colorful spectacle that will fill your cameras with stunning compositions. It will be an exciting and immersive experience as we search for the most beautiful patterns to capture.

After breakfast, we will continue to Vinh Long, where we’ll explore a pottery factory and the famous Red Brick Kingdom, also known as the ceramic village. This region has a deep-rooted pottery tradition, with artisans using centuries-old techniques to craft bricks and ceramics. The sight of towering domes made from meticulously stacked red bricks is truly a unique experience, offering fantastic perspectives for photography. These traditional kilns, some of which have been operating for generations, are a testament to the craftsmanship and heritage of Vietnamese pottery.

Following this immersive experience, we will journey onward to Vi Thanh, continuing our adventure through Vietnam’s hidden cultural landscapes. (B)

Day 5 | Vi Thanh - Tra Vinh

We begin our day with a visit to Vi Thanh Market, an authentic and bustling hub of local life. There’s no better way to understand a place than by exploring its markets where culture, food, and daily life come together. Women in traditional nón lá (cane hats), vibrant displays of fresh produce, and the rhythmic energy of vendors create a rich visual tapestry. This is a fantastic opportunity to capture portraits and candid street photography, immersing ourselves in the essence of local food traditions.

Next, we will travel to Sóc Trăng to photograph the majestic Big Buddha, a striking cultural landmark. We will stay until sunset, capturing the serene beauty of the statue as it is bathed in golden light.

We leave early in the morning to photograph fishermen at work in Xiep, capturing their skillful techniques and the rhythmic flow of their daily routine. The soft morning light and misty waters will add a magical touch to our images.

After breakfast, we will visit an elderly villager, a master in traditional mask-making. His craftsmanship, rich stories, and passion for this dying art form offer an experience that goes beyond photography. These intimate local interactions make our photo tour not just about capturing images, but truly immersing ourselves in cultural heritage.

Later in the day, we will have the incredible opportunity to photograph Apsara dancers, whose graceful movements and elaborate costumes symbolize spirituality and femininity. Picture beautifully adorned Apsara artists performing against the backdrop of an ancient temple, a scene that brings history, culture, and artistry together in one mesmerizing frame. (B)

Day 7 | Tra Vinh - Ben Tre

After breakfast, we will leave Trà Vinh and continue our journey to explore more unique locations and exciting photography opportunities.

Our first stop will be the sedge grass fields, where locals engage in the intricate process of harvesting and weaving this natural fiber. The endless rows of swaying grass create mesmerizing patterns, offering a visually stunning and artistic setting. Scenes like these make rural Vietnam a true paradise for photographers, blending natural beauty with daily craftsmanship.

Next, we will visit the Coconut Village in the Mekong Delta region, a hub of major coconut production. Here, we will witness the entire process, from harvesting to the creation of various coconut-based products. This visit presents a fantastic chance to capture detailed, story-driven images while learning about the significance of coconut farming in local livelihoods.

Their radiant smiles and dedication to preserving this traditional craft make for both a heartwarming and visually compelling experience. The intricate weaving process is as captivating to witness as it is to photograph, offering a glimpse into the artistry that has been passed down through generations.
