Our 7-day small-group Côte d’Azur Photo Tour invites you to explore one of the world’s most iconic coastal regions through your camera’s lens. The South of France is steeped in history, shaped by ancient Romans, Phoenicians, Greeks, and nomadic tribes, dating back hundreds of thousands of years.
From the dramatic heights of the Maritime Alps cascading down to the shimmering Mediterranean, the Riviera’s rugged cliffs and turquoise seas frame charming villages perched high above the coast, offering breathtaking panoramas at every turn.
The Côte d’Azur or French Riviera, is celebrated for its stunning natural scenery and glamorous atmosphere. Nice welcomes you with its sunlit promenade, lively markets, and vibrant cultural heritage. Cannes dazzles with its world-renowned film festival, golden beaches, and luxury boutiques. Saint-Tropez enchants with its lively nightlife and picturesque harbor, while Antibes charms visitors with its historic Old Town and the renowned Picasso Museum. Further inland, the Esterel Mountains offer striking red volcanic landscapes, contrasting beautifully with medieval villages such as Èze and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, where winding cobblestone streets and sweeping panoramic views inspire creativity at every turn.
Your photographic journey begins in Nice, where the iconic Promenade des Anglais meets the bustling Cours Saleya market bursting with fresh produce and vibrant flowers. Wander through the winding streets of Vieux Nice, capturing baroque churches, colorful façades, and renowned art museums. Relish the city’s lively café culture, exquisite Provençal cuisine, and dynamic nightlife; each a source of rich photographic inspiration.
Our adventure culminates in Marseille, France’s oldest city and cultural melting pot. Here, you’ll find the historic Vieux Port alive with boats and cafés, the commanding Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde offering sweeping city views, and vibrant neighborhoods like Le Panier and Cours Julien teeming with street art and local character. ITINERARY
CÔTE D’AZUR PHOTO TOUR – 7 DAYS
Day 1 | Nice
Our photographic journey along the glittering Côte d’Azur will begin in the elegant city of Nice, the crown jewel of the South of France. We’ll gather at 11:00 AM in the lobby of our hotel to meet one another, discuss our itinerary, and prepare for the days of exploration and photography ahead.
Nice captivates with its sun-drenched Mediterranean coastline, iconic Promenade des Anglais, and the enchanting Old Town, where narrow lanes open onto lively plazas and colorful markets. From the panoramic vistas atop Castle Hill to the artistic treasures at the Musée Matisse, the city offers an irresistible mix of visual inspiration. Whether capturing the shimmer of the sea, the textures of centuries-old facades, or the rhythms of café life, photographers will find endless subjects here.
In the days ahead, we’ll wander through nearby French Riviera gems, savor Provençal cuisine, and immerse ourselves in the region’s unique blend of glamour, history, and coastal charm.
Later, we’ll gather for our “Welcome Dinner” at one of our favorite restaurants. It will be the perfect chance to toast the beginning of our Riviera adventure. (D)
Day 2 | Nice - Eze - Monaco - Menton - Villefranche sur Mer
We’ll begin our day by capturing the soft morning light in Nice before setting out on an unforgettable journey along the eastern stretch of the French Riviera. Our first stop will be a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the medieval hilltop village of Èze, dramatically perched high above the glittering Mediterranean. This picturesque enclave, with its cobblestone streets, stone facades, and panoramic vistas, is a dream for photographers seeking timeless beauty.
From here, we’ll continue to Monaco, the glamorous sovereign city-state famed for its opulent lifestyle, legendary casinos, and striking coastline. Though surrounded by France, Monaco has its own unique identity, currency, and history. We’ll explore its architectural elegance, bustling harbor, and the rare blend of grandeur and intimacy that makes it so captivating through the lens.
Next, we will journey east to Menton, a charming seaside town near the Italian border. Known for its pastel-colored buildings, lush gardens, and rich cultural heritage influenced by both France and Italy, Menton offers endless opportunities for capturing color, texture, and atmosphere.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll return back to Nice, pausing in the idyllic coastal town of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Here, we’ll enjoy a memorable waterside dinner while the setting sun bathes the harbor in golden light, a perfect finale to a day of Riviera wonders. (B)
Day 3 | Nice - Saint Paul de Vence
In the morning, we’ll explore more of Nice’s many photographic treasures, beginning with the iconic Promenade des Anglais. Here, we’ll capture scenes of Mediterranean life along the sweeping waterfront, where palm-lined boulevards meet the turquoise sea. We’ll also wander through the lively Cours Saleya market, brimming with colorful flower stalls, fragrant produce, and Provençal charm. It’s the perfect place for street photography and vibrant detailed shots.
In the afternoon, we’ll journey inland to the enchanting medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Enclosed by historic stone ramparts, its winding cobblestone streets reveal ivy-draped walls, sunlit courtyards, and centuries-old architecture. The village is a haven for art lovers, with world-class galleries and museums, offering a contemporary contrast to its timeless surroundings. Lush gardens, intimate plazas, and bursts of Mediterranean light create a rich canvas for photography around every corner.
From the ramparts, we’ll take in sweeping panoramas of the Côte d’Azur and the sparkling Mediterranean before gathering for dinner in one of Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s charming restaurants. After a meal infused with local flavors, we’ll return to Nice, cameras full and hearts inspired. (B)
Day 4 | Nice - Antibes - Cannes - Saint Tropez
In the morning, we’ll bid farewell to Nice and journey westward along the glittering Côte d’Azur. Our first stop will be Antibes, where the charm of the Old Town unfolds in a labyrinth of narrow lanes, colorful façades, and bustling local markets. From the 16th-century Fort Carré, we’ll enjoy sweeping views of the coastline and the harbor filled with luxury yachts. Art lovers will appreciate the Picasso Museum, housed in the historic Château Grimaldi, where works by Picasso and other masters are framed by sea views.
Continuing along the coast, we will arrive in glamorous Cannes, a city synonymous with prestige and the world-famous Cannes Film Festival. We’ll stroll the palm-lined La Croisette, a chic promenade dotted with luxury boutiques, elegant cafés, and sweeping views over golden beaches and the sparkling Mediterranean. With its blend of cinematic allure and coastal beauty, Cannes offers an irresistible mix of subjects for our cameras.
By late afternoon, we’ll reach Saint-Tropez and settle into our next hotel. As the golden light of evening bathes the harbor, we’ll head out to photograph the lively waterfront, bustling promenades, and the unique blend of elegance and laid-back charm that has made Saint-Tropez an icon of the French Riviera. (B)
Day 5 | Saint Tropez - Cassis - Calanques National Park - Marseilles
We will begin our day in Saint-Tropez, once a humble fishing village that has become a world-renowned symbol of Riviera glamour. The narrow cobblestone streets of the old town wind past pastel-colored façades, chic boutiques, and lively cafés. The harbor gleams with luxury yachts, reflecting the town’s celebrity allure. This transformation became famous in the 1950s and ’60s, especially thanks to Brigitte Bardot. With its blend of timeless charm and cosmopolitan energy, Saint-Tropez offers irresistible opportunities for morning photography.
From here, we will journey west to Cassis, a postcard-perfect seaside town where colorful waterfront cafés overlook a crescent harbor filled with fishing boats and pleasure craft. Cassis is famous for its nearby calanques and towering limestone cliffs that plunge into waters of crystalline turquoise. The surrounding vineyards, producing the celebrated Cassis wines, add another layer of beauty to this idyllic destination.
In the afternoon, we will head into the heart of Calanques National Park, where dramatic coastal scenery unfolds in a palette of deep blues, rugged whites, and lush greens. Whether framed from a trail or a scenic lookout, the hidden coves and jagged cliffs here provide extraordinary photographic opportunities. By evening, we’ll arrive in Marseille, France’s oldest city, where we’ll check into our hotel and prepare for the next day’s explorations. (B)
Day 6 | Marseille
Our day will begin by immersing ourselves in Marseille, France’s oldest city, founded in 600 BC by Greek settlers. Shaped by centuries of maritime trade, the city still orbits around its heart, the Vieux Port, just as it did in ancient times. Here, colorful fishing boats bob alongside sleek yachts, bustling markets spill their scents of the sea, and golden light shimmers across the water, making it perfect for capturing Marseille’s enduring maritime soul.
High above the city, the iconic basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde watches over Marseille. From its terraces, sweeping panoramic views unfold, revealing the city’s intricate blend of historic rooftops, modern architecture, and the deep blue of the Mediterranean beyond, an ideal vantage for dramatic wide-angle photography.
Next, we’ll wander into Le Panier, Marseille’s oldest quarter, where pastel façades, sunlit alleyways, vibrant street art, and tucked-away cafés offer a visual feast of authentic Mediterranean life. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for our “Farewell Dinner” at one of our favorite restaurants overlooking the Vieux Port, a perfect finale to our photographic journey along the Côte d’Azur. (B) (D)
Day 7 | Marseille
In the morning, over breakfast, we will gather for our final group discussion and image review, reflecting on the stories we’ve captured and the memories we’ve shared along the Côte d’Azur. This is where we’ll bid fond farewells to those departing from Marseille, wishing safe travels home.
For guests continuing on our four-day Camargue extension, we will depart directly after breakfast. Leaving behind the glamour of the Riviera, we will head to the wild beauty of southern France’s wetlands, where our next photographic adventure awaits. (B)

Day 1 | Marseilles - Aigues-Mortes - Camargue
Our adventure will begin in the vibrant port city of Marseilles. If you are continuing on from either our Côte d’Azur Photo Tour or Provence Photo Tour, you will continue with the group.
In the morning, we’ll leave Marseilles and head west toward the medieval gem of Aigues-Mortes. Nestled on the edge of the Camargue National Park, this charming town stands at the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Rhône River. Its imposing city walls and ancient gates, relics of Crusader and Knights Templar history, create a dramatic backdrop for photography that blends history with natural beauty.
We’ll enjoy lunch in Aigues-Mortes and check in to our hotel. After lunch, we’ll start exploring Aigues-Mortes and the Camargue region. Our day will close with a “Welcome Dinner”, where we’ll share stories and prepare for the rich photographic experiences ahead. (D)
Day 2 | Bulls of Camargue - Park Orthologique du Pont de Gau
Our morning will begin with an exclusive photoshoot of the powerful Camargue bulls inside a private enclosure, giving us controlled lighting and composition opportunities. These iconic animals are closely tied to the region’s unique tradition of the “Course Camarguaise,” a form of bloodless bullfighting. Their muscular bodies, textured hides, and spirited presence make them compelling and dynamic subjects, and are perfect for developing your skills in capturing animal expression and strength.
As the harsh midday light softens, we will transition to the peaceful surroundings of the Park Ornithologique du Pont de Gau. This bird sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife photographers, with abundant opportunities to photograph flamingos, herons, and other wetland species. From tight telephoto shots that reveal delicate feather details to wide-angle vistas capturing birds in graceful flight, this natural haven invites you to explore varied photographic techniques in an ever-changing environment.
The day will offer a captivating mix of powerful animal portraits and peaceful birdlife. This contrast provides a full range of photographic experiences. Together, they will deepen your appreciation of Camargue’s unique natural beauty and rich wildlife diversity. (B)
Day 3 | White Horses of Camargue - Aigues-Mortes Saltworks - Flamingos
We will rise early to greet the dawn light as it paints the Camargue’s marshes and beaches with soft, golden hues. Our first photographic mission will be to capture the wild white Camargue horses in motion, running through shallow waters as the sun rises. This dynamic scene invites creative experimentation, from freezing the powerful, fluid movements with fast shutter speeds to crafting artistic blur and panning shots that convey the horses’ energy and grace. Tracking autofocus techniques will be your best friend for the day as you capture these untamed spirits against a breathtaking natural backdrop.
Later, we’ll explore the famed pink waters of the Aigues-Mortes saltworks, where centuries-old salt production continues amid stunning reflections of the medieval city walls. The interplay of vivid colors, geometric salt ponds, and historic architecture offers endless composition possibilities, especially during the glowing afternoon golden hour. The Camargue wetlands are alive with birdlife, and we’ll seek out elegant flamingos and other avian residents, adding vibrant pops of color and life to our portfolio. In the evening, we’ll celebrate with a wonderful “Farewell Dinner”. (B) (D)
Day 4 | Aigues-Mortes - Marseilles
On our final morning, we’ll greet the soft light as it gently illuminates the medieval walls, gates, and towers of Aigues-Mortes. The early hours offer a serene and magical atmosphere, perfect for capturing the historic town bathed in warm, golden hues and quiet reflections. We will stroll through the narrow streets and photograph the interplay of light and shadow against the centuries-old stonework, rich textures, and timeless beauty.
After breakfast and check out, we will journey back to Marseilles, reflecting on the unforgettable moments and images gathered over the past days. This will mark the end of our Camargue Photo Tour, but the memories and photographs you carry will continue to inspire. (B)
