Born in Mexico City, Gustavo Mejia immigrated to the United States when he was five. Gus enjoys photographing people, food, and landscape. One of Gus’s signature genres is photographing catrinas (elegantly dressed skeleton figures; used as a symbol of the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, celebration). Gus is also a very proficient drone pilot and videographer. He enjoys flying his drone wherever he goes.

Gus grew to love photography, first as a hobby, taking family photos, and then professionally. Social media helped Gus gain the recognition he deserves.

Gus loves to share his knowledge about photography with friends and guests. His goal is someday to create a book about all his adventures and photography in the United States and Mexico. To show the world about Mexican culture and keep it alive for future generations.
