24 HOURS OF LE MANS

Racing, Wine Country & The World’s Greatest Endurance Race

Experience the most prestigious race in motorsport… the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Imagine experiencing the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from the opening parade of cars in the quaint village of Le Man to vintage car racing, practice sessions, qualifying, and the 24-hour race! In addition, we’ll be exploring the Loire Valley and stunning Mont Saint-Michel. Optional excursions include vineyards and wine tasting, a hot air balloon ride, a countryside chateau tour, the Porsche Experience, and more.

Le Mans is a truly unique city and the home of the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race, first held in 1923. This true test of endurance is held each year at the Circuit de la Sarthe, a track mainly made up of closed public roads around Le Mans. This event is the pinnacle of motorsport endurance racing and attracts marquees like Ferrari, Porsche, Audi, Aston Martin, Nissan, Toyota, Corvette, and BMW. In 2023, Ferrari took the checkered flag in one of the most exciting Le Mans races in recent history. Ferrari last won Le Mans overall in 1965 and hasn’t competed at the top level since 1973. This year it returned and won with the new hybrid 499P.

But Le Mans has more to offer beyond its legendary motorsports history. The old city of Le Mans is especially appealing and features ancient Roman walls, a true labyrinth of winding alleyways, and many old buildings full of character. And outside the city, you will find the inviting and majestic French countryside.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is visited by racing fans around the globe and locals. Until now, only very expensive VIP packages have been available, and none offering a focus on the passion of motorsports photography. We are proud to bring you this unique opportunity. We also include several days of travel and landscape photography throughout the Loire Valley and Mont Saint-Michel.

This adventure is designed to give your a 24 hour of Le Mans experience as well as some amazing photographic opportunities. Please keep in mind that your access does not include Professional Photographer Press Passes, which are reserved for experienced and accredited photographers with FIA credentials. But we’ll provide you opportunities to capture photos during the numerous practice sessions throughout the week and the race.

Our time together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas, and great fun. We cannot think of a better location to express your creativity and learn about the motorsports world than the excitement and beauty of Le Mans!

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS

24 HOURS of LE MANS 8 DAYS

Day 1 | Paris - Le Mans

We suggest arriving one or two days early in Paris. You can book early arrival rooms with us.

On the first morning, we will pick you up at the Le Mans train station to begin our adventure (train information will be provided for your Paris to Le Mans transportation). During lunch, we will have informal discussions on what our guests want to achieve with their photography, subject matters, styles, and techniques. From here, we will go to the village square to view and photograph the race cars on display. This is a great chance to study the race cars and get some nice closeup images of them in pristine condition. Afterward, we’ll explore Le Mans before heading to our hotel to check in. We will relax and celebrate in the evening with our “Welcome Dinner” at one of our favorite French restaurants. (D)

Day 2 | Mont Saint-Michel Castle

Today is set aside for the teams to settle into the paddocks and prepare their cars for the race, so it’s a perfect day for a road trip. After breakfast, we depart for the famous Mont Saint-Michel Castle, an island commune in Normandy, France. It’s about 2 hours from our hotel off the country’s northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches. One of France’s most recognizable landmarks, Mont Saint-Michel, and its bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; more than 3 million people visit it yearly. This 247-acre (100 ha) island has a population of only 44.

The island has held strategic fortifications since ancient times and, since the eighth century AD, has been the seat of the monastery from which it draws its name. The structural composition of the town exemplifies the feudal society that constructed it. On top are the abbey and monastery; below this are the Great Halls, then stores and housing, and at the bottom are fishermen’s and farmers’ housing outside the walls. After an amazing day of photography, we return to Le Mans for a well-deserved rest and prepare for our early morning departure for the race circuit. (B)

All-day excursion for the Mont Saint-Michel Tour

Day 3 | Le Mans - Pitwalk - Free Practice

On Day 3 morning, we depart early for Le Mans – Circuit de la Sarthe to use our PITWALK Passes. Here we can walk the pit lane to check and photograph the cars, teams, and garages while they prepare for practice and qualifying. Having worked all night, the teams will be in full swing preparing the cars.

After an afternoon break, we return to the circuit for the 4-8 PM Free Practice Session. This will be excellent as we will have access to all the grandstands, allowing us the opportunity to capture and enjoy the speed of the cars from many different vantage points. With the sun setting in the late evening, we’ll be focusing on catching our first night photography during the 10 PM -12 AM Night Qualifying Practice Session is perfect. (B)

Day 4 | Le Mans - Pitwalk - Vintage Qualifying - Qualifying

On Day 4 morning, we depart early for Le Mans – Circuit de la Sarthe to use our PITWALK Passes. Here we can walk the pit lane to check and photograph the cars, teams, and garages while they prepare for practice and qualifying. Having worked all night, the teams will be in full swing preparing the cars.

After an afternoon break, we return to the circuit for the Vintage Le Mans Qualifying Session from 4 – 5 PM. We will photograph the last Qualifying Practice Session in the early evening from 7-9 PM. And from 10 PM – 12 AM, we will photograph the FINAL QUALIFYING SESSION (the one that really matters). (B)

Day 5 | Loire Valley Chateau Tour - Wine Tour

With no track activity on this day, we depart early for a Chateau Tour of the beautiful Loire Valley. We will spend the day traveling to four of the Loire Valley’s top 10 Château’s including Château de Chenonceau, Château de Chaumont, Château du Clos Lucé and Château Royal d’Amboise, all located close to the city of Tours. There will be concerts and a car show for those who prefer to stay back and visit the circuit. (B)

Full-day excursion for the Loire Valley Chateau, Wine Tour, and Sunset Hot Air Balloon ride.

Day 6 | Le Mans - Race Day - Circuit de la Sarthe

It’s RACE DAY! It’s the 24 Heures du Mans. Armed with our cameras, long lenses, energy bars, and energy drinks, we will hit the circuit and attempt to capture Le Mans in all its glory. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the world’s oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France, and is considered to be one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world. We will depart early and prepare for a long day with amazing racing experiences. Some say they stay up for 36 hours from Saturday morning until Sunday night, but that’s unnecessary.

We begin with the morning Warmup Session and the Vintage Le Lans Race. We’ll try to get in one last Pre-Race PITWALK, and the RACE starts at 3 PM. Throughout the race, we will photograph from our grandstand seats and scout locations throughout the circuit. (B)

Day 7 | Le Mans - Race Day - Circuit de la Sarthe

On Day 7, we return to the track just before sunrise for breathtaking early morning shots. We’ll shoot until the checkered flag, capturing every great race day shot we can find. The RACE ends at 3 PM, followed by the victory celebration and podium ceremonies. In the evening, we will celebrate with our “Farewell Dinner” in Le Mans and discuss all the highlights of our 24 Hours of Le Mans adventure. (B) (D)

Day 8 | Le Mans - Paris

On our final day, you’ll be exhausted but excited. We’ll get together for breakfast and discuss the race, the winners and the losers, and the excitement. After checkout, you’ll depart for Paris by train, where we will bid you farewell. We urge you to extend your stay in France or Paris. (B)

(B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch, (D) Dinner, (E) Excursion
