Join our 12-day Rajasthan Photo Tour and Cultural Adventure and experience India at its vibrant best. Rajasthan, often referred to as the crown jewel of India due to its legacy of regality and empire, lends to photography that encapsulates this region’s majestic and resplendent beauty.

The iconic Golden Triangle, comprising Delhi, Agra, and finishing in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, ranks as the number one immersive and “must do” experiential tour circuit in India. Our photography journey kicks off in the daunting mega-metropolis of Delhi. With your camera in hand, squeeze your way through the bazaars and markets of Old Delhi, packed to the rafters with fresh produce, textiles, and handicrafts. This ambush of colors, textures, and subjects will make it difficult to decide what to photograph first.

Next is Agra, home to the city of the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the most photographed sites in the world. We will use the early morning light to capture this marble masterpiece from various angles. Jaipur, the gateway to the rest of our Rajasthan adventure, is a rose-tinted city owing to the pink sandstone of its buildings. The Hawa Mahal Palace, with its intricate lattice-work façade, the imposing Amer Fort set against the Aravalli hills, and the bustling bazaars of the old city are all must-see sites for our lenses to explore.

Venturing deeper into Rajasthan, we go from pink to blue as we enter Jodhpur, where houses are painted the same cobalt color as the Hindu deity Shiva and act as a stunning cityscape contrast against the desert backdrop. Likewise, Jaisalmer, situated in the rolling dunes of the Thar Desert, makes for impressive landscape photography as we play with light and shadow during golden hours. We will visit a watery oasis in the middle of the desert, camp out under the stars, and meet with rural nomadic communities in remote villages.

Along the way, we will engage in interacting with and photographing the many different communities and villagers across Rajasthan. This includes the Rangrez people, known for their colorful clothing and tradition of fabric dyeing, and the Bishnoi villagers – eco-warriors and tree huggers who are entwined with nature and unwaveringly dedicated to conservation.

This immersive 13-day photography tour is more than just a quest to capture exceptional images; it’s an invitation to elevate your craft and see the world through a new lens. Our expert photographer guides will not only lead you to the most photogenic locations under the best light but help you master the art of visual storytelling. Along the way, you’ll refine your camera techniques and discover how to navigate the challenges of photographing in a foreign land. You’ll also learn to anticipate a scene before capturing the decisive moment, elevating ordinary photos into extraordinary works of art.

Join us for spirited discussions, enriching camaraderie, and moments of unforgettable inspiration. The color, dramatic dunes, and jam-packed markets of Rajasthan map out a photographic trail of landscape, people, and architecture that will keep you coming back to India again and again. Your visual Indian odyssey begins here! Register Today!

Varanasi 5-day Extension

Varanasi is the India you imagine. One of the most colorful places on earth.

Varanasi is the India you imagine. One of the most colorful and fascinating places on earth, with surprises around every corner. Pilgrims come to the ghats (steps) lining the River Ganges to wash away sins in the sacred waters or to cremate their loved ones. It’s a particularly auspicious place to die since expiring here offers moksha (liberation from the cycle of rebirth). Most visitors agree Varanasi is magical – but not for the faint-hearted.

Our 5-day Varanasi Photo Tour and Cultural Adventure is filled with sights of traditions and culture that enfold the living and dead. Intimate rituals of life and death take place in public, and the sights, sounds and smells on the ghats – not to mention almost constant attention from touts – can be intense. Still, the so-called “City of Light” may turn out to be your favorite stop on our adventure. Walking the ghats and alleyways or watching the sunrise from a boat will be unforgettable.

Varanasi, also known as Benares (Banāras or Kashi), is on the banks of the River Ganges in Uttar Pradesh, India, 790 km (490 mi) southeast of Delhi. It is the holiest of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) in Hinduism, Ravidassia religion and Jainism, and played an important role in the development of Buddhism. Some Hindus believe that death at Varanasi brings salvation. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Varanasi is also known as the favorite city of the Hindu deity Lord Shiva as it has been mentioned in the Rigveda that this city in ancient times was known as Kashi or “Shiv ki Nagri”.
