We started 2024 with five amazing photo tours in January – Our highly-acclaimed Vanishing Cuba 9-day in Havana, Trinidad, and Vinales; our 9-day Eastern Cuba; and our 12-day Rajasthan and 5-day Varanasi tours in India. These extraordinary journeys, venturing across continents to photograph and explore the rich tapestry of cultures, landscapes, and experiences, define Photo Workshop Adventures.

We also operated a private photo tour to Guatemala for one of our guests, his third private trip to Guatemala with PWA. It’s always lovely to see guests returning. Our Eastern Cuba trip saw some of our most loyal guests returning to Cuba, most having been on 7 to 25 tours with PWA across the globe.  

Cuba is very popular with us. A tropical paradise with a storied past, yet frozen in time, offering us a unique view of a world few have been able to see. Our Vanishing Cuba photo tour shows us the rare opportunity to capture its warm people alongside its natural beauty and stunning yet decaying architecture. This tour, which we run three times a year, was a great success, as always. Michael Chinnici’s Vanishing Cuba Photo Book has created extra demand for his trips. Don’t miss out on one of them. 

Our Eastern Cuba photo adventure was a huge hit, selling out quickly as far back as 2022, thanks to its unique, offbeat approach. With several untold stories and the vibrant spirit of this lesser-known region, the tour offered a very authentic experience to our guests. Focusing on life in Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa, this tour is perfect for photographers making their second trip to Cuba. Eastern Cuba will return in January 2025 with Chase Guttman and in January 2026 with Michael Chinnici. 

Our 12-day Rajasthan India tour offered an intimate experience with a small group, providing personalized insights into the region’s rich cultural heritage. PWA’s tours typically run with four to six photographer guests. 

After Rajasthan, we continued to the holy city of Varanasi, which every photographer should experience. It is one of the most colorful and fascinating places on earth, with surprises around every corner. Most visitors agree Varanasi is magical – but not for the faint-hearted. Michael Chinnici will lead our Rajasthan India Photo Tour in January 2025 and has a few spots left.

Looking ahead to the rest of 2024 and into 2025, we anticipate a similar trend, with our tours filling up quickly. We have many tours to select from.
