PWA’s Health & Safety Guidelines

When choosing a tour provider, it’s important to know that the company you choose will follow carefully established health and safety guidelines. At PWA, we want you to know that the safety and well-being of our guests and team continue to be paramount to us. We follow guidance from multiple sources and trusted health partners, including the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the WHO (World Health Organization).

Our mission has always been to deliver highly curated small-group photo adventure vacations that include world-class accommodations and amazing photo opportunities, as well as extraordinary cultural and culinary experiences. These standards remain just as much a priority as before the pandemic, which should provide additional comfort for you.

Please take a moment to review our most recent health and safety guidelines below. We look forward to welcoming you on your next adventure.

1. Flexible Travel  We understand that due to the pandemic your travel schedules might change based on circumstances beyond your control. We are open to making adjustments when the need arises, and we will do our best to accommodate any changes should they be necessary. Our guest services staff will be happy to assist you.

2. Proof of Vaccination  All guests traveling with PWA will have to provide proof of a covid-19 vaccination before travel. Depending on the current guidelines established by the CDC and/or the vaccine manufacturers, proof of a booster shot may be required if the initial vaccination is out-of-date. Since vaccine efficacy is still being determined, we will be evaluating these rules on an ongoing basis. All PWA photographer leaders are also required to have up-to-date proof of a covid-19 vaccination. Since we travel in small groups, this will ensure that local travel will be contained to our own safety bubble.

3. PCR Testing  Guests will be required to provide PWA with a negative Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours of their arrival at the start of the tour. Most airlines will require this as well, so depending on timing, the same test can be used for both. Upon the completion of each tour, PWA will help guests facilitate any PCR test required by many airlines before their return flight. All PWA photographer leaders will also be required to provide PWA with a PCR test within 72 hours of their arrival at the start of the tour. This policy will be re-evaluated on a monthly basis.

4. Health Monitoring. Our photographer leaders will perform daily temperature checks while on tour, as well as monitor for any covid symptoms.

5. Personal Protection Policy  Face masks will be worn whenever it is deemed necessary or required by a host country’s guidelines. This could include whenever we are in large groups, hotel lobbies, restaurants, attending festivals, etc. We will respect whatever requirements are established. We expect this to become less and less a requirement in destinations where immunity has been established. Please be respectful of other countries’ cultural policies regarding personal protection.

6. Social Distancing. We will be following all social distancing guidelines provided by the CDC and/or the WHO, as well as any requirements or guidelines from each country we will be visiting.

7. Traveler Conduct Policy  All PWA guests will be expected to follow our standard policy of good behavior. The health and safety of our guests and team are of the utmost importance to us.

8. Partner Safety Collaboration  On many of our tours, we team up with different partners on the ground. Each of our partners will be required to provide the same level of safety as PWA. This will ensure that our guests will travel with confidence and peace of mind.

9. Travel & Accommodation Safety  All hotel properties and transportation services will be checked to see that they provide a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team. All vehicles will be sanitized on a daily basis, and hotels will be required to provide PWA with a list of good hygiene practices in keeping with safe covid-19 guidelines.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.
