Photo Workshop Adventures Update on COVID-19
September 26, 2020
We very much look forward to traveling with you again in the near future. It’s only a matter of time before vaccines become available across the globe, and we restart our photo tours and cultural adventures.
We now anticipate that our first tours will begin running in early to mid-2021. We will be reevaluating each of our upcoming tours on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Our decision on when we will “green light” a tour will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, a) being able to ensure the safety and good health of our guests and team, b) vaccine availability, and sufficient immunization, c) continued low positivity testing rates throughout the tour destinations, d) the lifting of any restrictions, quarantines, lockdowns and/or border closings, e) a sufficient tour guest count, f) our guests and leaders ability to safely travel to and from the destination, and g) a commitment from our partners, hotels, ground team, and leaders, that the tour can be run safely.
We anticipate that each tour will have its own unique set of circumstances regarding when a tour will be available to run. e.g. A landscape photo tour in Utah will likely reopen sooner than a street photography tour to Mumbai. Tours based in the United States and North America will be easier for American travelers, however, International travelers will likely find it easier to travel outside North America.
Plan now for 2021, 2022, or even 2023. We are experiencing an increase in new registrations as guests look to guarantee their space on future trips. You can always switch to a different destination, should your plans change.
Stay safe, and stay tuned for updates.
March 12, 2020 (updated August 9, 2020)
This is an unprecedented time in our history. The COVID-19 pandemic is having an impact on the health of our loved ones, the businesses we rely upon, the health of the global economy, and the way we live our daily lives. As we all continue to navigate through these unique and evolving challenges, we want you to know that Photo Workshop Adventures will be here for you.
Due to Covid-19, all remaining 2020 photo tours & cultural adventures have been postponed until future dates.
At Photo Workshop Adventures (PWA), the safety of our guests and team is our highest priority. Accordingly, we are sharing this update regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus. We will continue to address concerns and are working with guests on a priority basis. The following applies to all group and private photo adventures.
Next steps for postponed adventures and guests looking to reschedule future adventures.
To make sure you travel with confidence, we made the difficult decision back in early March 2020 to postpone all scheduled photo adventures through August 2020. We have since expanded this to include all of the photo adventures through the end of the calendar year 2020. If you have a scheduled photo adventure after 2020, and prefer to reschedule, the same applies to you. We are giving our guests three choices to reschedule tours that are affected by the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic:
1) Reschedule your currently registered Photo Adventure to a future date in 2021 or 2022. This provides you with flexibility and assurance to postpone your adventure to a later date. As a default, we will automatically postpone your 2020 photo adventure to similar dates in 2021.
2) Select a different photo adventure in the future and your payment will be applied to the new adventure. We offer over 150 adventures in over 50 countries, including the United States. Your account will be reconciled with either a credit or an additional balance due, depending on the price of your new adventure. Check our schedule page and select dates in 2021 or 2022
3) No need to decide right now. Reach out to us whenever you are ready to discuss rescheduling your postponed or rescheduled trip.
As we postpone adventure dates, ultimately our intent is to be fair and flexible. Sudden infectious disease outbreaks can significantly impact small businesses worldwide. Our terms and conditions note that in the event of an infectious disease outbreak, we are unable to issue refunds, only postponements.
We are confident that this will be behind us in the near future and will be adding dates and exciting new destinations to our schedule. Stay tuned.
Next steps for future adventures.
Understanding this situation is fluid, we will continue to monitor developments and be in touch with all guests. Please stay tuned.
New registrations for future adventures.
Feel free to register for future photo adventures. Now is a great time to secure a spot for 2021 or 2022. We offer over 150 adventures in over 50 countries.
